One for the road may be one too many

The Scottish Government plans to reduce the drink-drive limit from 80mg to 50mg per 100ml of blood, bringing it into line with a number of European countries, including France, Germany, Spain and Italy. One pint or one glass of wine could be enough to push drivers over the limit. And while motorists are concerned about the cost of a litre of diesel or petrol, the Scottish Government has fueled debate over the price of alcohol by passing a law that limits the minimum price for a unit of alcohol to £0.50.
